Welcome to the Ottawa Valley Swiss Club
The initial club, "Swiss Club Ottawa Valley" was created in 1953 by a number of Swiss expatriates living in the Ottawa area. The Club was incorporated as the "Ottawa Valley Swiss Club" (OVSC) in 1991, with the objective to:
i) promote a closer social contact between members of the corporation;
ii) help foster and maintain the cultural links between Switzerland and the Swiss community in the Ottawa Valley and members of the corporation.
The "Ottawa Valley Swiss Club" has continued, for several generations, to help members keep in touch, celebrate and transmit their Swiss heritage. The OVSC and this website keep the membership informed about ongoing activities and events of all the Swiss groups in the Ottawa area.
The "Ottawa Valley Swiss Club" also serves as the umbrella organisation for the several affiliated groups and sections in the Ottawa area.
